ONE OF Scotland’s leading hospitality groups, Buzzworks Holdings, has today (Wednesday 17 May) provided an exclusive glimpse into its stunning vision for the business’s first venture into Inverclyde, as the team prepare for its highly anticipated opening.

Releasing a number of CGIs of its new flagship restaurant Scotts Greenock, the family run business showcased what locals and visitors alike will come to expect when the spectacular new venue opens its doors this summer.

Set to open at the innovative Ocean Terminal Greenock, the new restaurant has been designed by internationally acclaimed interior designer, Jim Hamilton, and will feature a stunning open-air rooftop terrace with panoramic views across the water and capacity for 150 guests.

Scotts, synonymous for its delicious dishes made from the best local ingredients available across the West of Scotland and beyond, will bring its relaxed all day dining and drinking offering to the new £19.2 million cruise ship visitor centre, making it the perfect coastal escape for diners, all year long.

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “After several years of planning and hard work, we’re thrilled to finally share our vision for Scotts Greenock and showcase what guests will come to expect when we open this summer.

“At Scotts Greenock we are committed to delivering a unique dining experience for guests from the moment they come through the doors. Whether it’s the carefully crafted menus synonymous with Scotts or the incredible views of the Clyde, every aspect of our restaurant has been meticulously designed to create a welcoming and memorable atmosphere.

“Our chefs have worked hard to create a fantastic offering which will appeal to all tastes. From classic fish and chips to mouth-watering burgers, char-grilled steaks and freshly landed seafood alongside an innovative vegetarian and vegan menu, there is something for everyone.

“The drinks team have also been busy, ensuring an impressive selection of 15 wines and champagnes by the glass. We will also have an impressive array of world class cocktails, prepared by our talented mixologists available from the bar – ensuring every occasion can be enjoyed by all.

“It’s been an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to share our passion for food and hospitality with the local community here in Greenock and beyond, in this beautiful new space.”

Scotts Greenock will open at Ocean Terminal Greenock, a dedicated Greenock cruise ship visitor centre featuring a museum paying tribute to the late artist George Wyllie, who worked as a customs officer in Greenock and lived in Gourock for many years, alongside a dedicated arrival and departures hall for the many cruise ships that dock in the area.

It is estimated that the overall development is expected to increase visitor numbers to 150,000 a year and provide a £26 million boost to the Scottish economy.

The eagerly anticipated opening of the new Scotts Greenock will bring with it over 70 jobs to the local community. Buzzworks, named in the Best Companies to Work for List consistently over the past few years, is actively recruiting a world-class team including senior level management, with roles available across the business, both within the kitchen and front of house.

The business prides itself in going above and beyond for its talented team, providing industry-leading benefits including a rewarding bonus structure, ongoing training and development, career progression, flexible working, health and wellbeing incentives as well as a generous 40 per cent team discount.
