LEADING hospitality group, Macmerry 300, named as Rising Star at the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards 2021.
The awards which celebrate excellence in the Scottish licensed trade, toasted the industry last night at a glitzy awards ceremony at The Hilton.
The Rising Star award recognises innovation and achievements for outstanding companies in the industry and is a standalone category for the awards.
With a portfolio of 14 award-winning venues across Scotland, Macmerry 300 is a trailblazing company with new openings planned for Glasgow and London with Abandon Ship Bar – a new hospitality and retail concept that brings together street art, lifestyle merchandise and the best of modern hospitality. Other leading venues in the group include the speakeasy Draffens and the King of Islington in Dundee.
Established in 1995, the annual Scottish Bar and Pub Awards (formerly the DRAM Awards) is Scotland’s first and foremost licensed trade award ceremony.
Speaking about the award win, co-founder, Phil Donaldson said:
“This award is a real testament to the commitment and hard work of our team. After a difficult two years in the trade, we continue to push forward with our exciting growth plan. Being recognised for innovation is a boost and we can’t wait to open Abandon Ship Bar later this month.”
Abandon Ship Bar will open on Friday, September 17th and is located at 43 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3LA
