As Scotland prepares for Burns Night and World Scotch Day, two new releases from Skye and beyond offer whisky drinkers bold flavour, rich history and a taste of Scottish storytelling.

Torabhaig Launches Sound of Sleat Batch Strength (60.2% ABV)

Skye’s youngest distillery unveils Sound of Sleat Batch Strength, a limited-edition single malt that amplifies Torabhaig’s signature coastal smoke. Bottled at 60.2% ABV, it delivers bonfire warmth, maritime salinity and citrus brightness—perfect for winter gatherings and toasts to Scotland’s national poet.

Matured exclusively in American oak and featuring artwork by Skye artist Ellis O’Connor, this release brings the essence of the island directly to the glass.

RRP – £79

Mossburn Reveals The Ephemera Collection

Mossburn Distillers & Blenders introduces The Ephemera Collection, a one-time release of twelve rare bottlings drawn from unusual and long-held private casks.
Each expression is paired with a tale from Scottish folklore—such as The Linton Wyrm, The Bishop’s Curse and Robin Redcap—adding an atmospheric layer to the distinctive Scotch whiskies and rums in the series.
With fewer than 15,000 bottles worldwide, the collection showcases exceptional parcels of spirit selected for their individuality, age or character.

A Celebration of Craft and Culture

From Torabhaig’s elemental island whisky to Mossburn’s folklore-driven rarities, these releases embody Scotland’s craftsmanship, landscape and legends—ideal for raising a glass on two of the year’s most important whisky occasions.

RRP from £65 https://torabhaig.com/collections/the-ephemera-collection
