Isle of Wight Distillery Introduces Mermaid Winter Gin

Mermaid’s Winter Gin from the Isle of Wight Distillery is now available, bringing its character to shelves in time for Negroni Week, which runs from 21-27 September. The seasonal expression is priced at £40 for a 70cl bottle. Consumers can purchase the gin from the Mermaid website, Amazon, and John Lewis.

Crafted to capture the flavours of autumn and winter, Mermaid Winter Gin incorporates luscious coastal figs and vine-ripened grapes. These are complemented by cassia, orange peel, and Isle of Wight honey, resulting in a subtly sweet and warming spirit with depth. The distillery suggests it as a companion for the transition into autumn, suitable for intimate entertaining and enjoying moments with friends and family.
Timed for Negroni Week, Mermaid is highlighting the versatility of the spirit with its Winter Negroni. This take on the classic cocktail combines 25ml Mermaid Winter Gin with 25ml Campari and 25ml Cocchi Vermouth di Torino. The serve is finished with a fig segment to complement the gin’s flavour profile; ingredients are stirred in an ice-filled vessel and served over a large ice cube.
