Guylian’s chocolate advent calendar has returned to Sainsbury’s following what the Belgian chocolatier describes as last year’s sell-out success.

Available in stores nationwide from 28 September, the 254g calendar features 24 chocolates across three flavours, bringing together the brand’s signature praline seashells and filled seahorses.

Behind the doors are 12 Original Praliné Seashells, six Milk Truffle Seahorses and six Sea Salt Caramel Seahorses.

The seashells feature Guylian’s hazelnut praline filling, made using hazelnuts roasted in-house and wrapped in marbled Belgian chocolate. The caramel seahorses combine a smooth filling with sea salt, while the milk truffle variety offers a soft milk chocolate centre.

Guylian has been making Belgian chocolates for more than 65 years. Its chocolates use ingredients of natural origin, contain no palm oil and are made with cocoa sourced under Fairtrade conditions.

Presented in festive packaging, which the brand says is fully recyclable, the calendar is designed as a seasonal gift or a daily treat during the countdown to Christmas.

The Guylian Advent Calendar is available through Sainsbury’s, Ocado and Amazon. Visit the retailers’ websites for pricing and availability.
