Now, with its Supper Club offering, Sip & Bark is answering the call from customers eager for an evening service.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the support from locals and our customers since we opened in April, with multiple requests for an evening service,” said Kasia Neilson, Co-Owner of Sip & Bark.
“So we thought what better time to launch our exclusive Supper Club. This is a brilliant way to welcome dog owners and dog lovers to Sip & Bark, with very limited space available every week.”
The Supper Club promises a wonderful dining experience with a carefully selected menu for both humans and another one for their furry companions.
These use fresh local ingredients, with dishes including wood pigeon breast with barley risotto and wine jus, risotto with roasted rainbow beetroot with creme fréche & also a rump of lamb with green beans and red pepper coulis and creamed Celeriac.
The doggy menu includes peanut biscuits and seasonal meatballs and heritage carrots, followed by dessert cupcakes. Doggy wine is also available.
To support the growth of the business, the entrepreneurs behind Sip & Bark recently secured a £75,000 loan from the British Business Bank’s Investment Fund for Scotland through fund manager DSL Business Finance.
The £150 million Investment Fund for Scotland launched in October 2023 and offers loans ranging from £25,000 to £2 million and equity investments up to £5 million.
The fund is part of the British Business Bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth by supporting businesses across Scotland.
Mark Sterritt, Director, Nations and Regions Funds, at the British Business Bank, said: “Edinburgh has a vibrant café culture, and it is no surprise to hear that Sip & Bark has gone down very well with pet owners in the city.
“The concept is incredibly creative, but underpinning its success are two entrepreneurs with ambitious plans to diversify and expand.
“Access to finance is key, and the Investment Fund for Scotland is designed to support businesses all over Scotland in any sector to develop and grow.”
With limited seating, Sip & Bark’s Supper Club is set to become one of the most sought-after weekend dining experiences in the city.
