An exciting new immersive dining experience launches in Aberdeen’s Six by Nico restaurant on the 27 January.

‘Murder on the Midnight Express’ is a new style of six-course tasting menu, where each course will include clues for solving the mystery of Chef Gustave’s murder.

The highly sought after experience, which has already launched in their Glasgow restaurant, encourages guests to step back in time to the 1930s and play a role of a detective who must join the dots to unravel the mystery.

The experience lasts longer than the typical seated experience at the restaurant, with guests encouraged to allow 2.5 hours instead of the usual 2 hours, to have time to fully immerse themselves into this experience.

To make this possible, Six by Nico have reduced the overall capacity by 15% – a decision that reflects their commitment to continually evolve the experience, prioritising their customers and focusing on the value they deliver.

Inspired by classic French cuisine, the delicious menu will be cooking between the 27 January to 9 March 2025 and is priced at £44pp for their Six-Course immersive tasting menu. Guests can enhance their experience with an optional Wine pairing for £30pp or Cocktail Pairing for £40pp.

A suspense-filled evening to enjoy with friends, or something a little different for date night – each bite will entangle you in a web of deception.

Nico Simeone, CEO of Six by Nico said: “Murder on the Midnight Express’ is an exciting new immersive concept which takes guests on a journey where they must solve clues while enjoying a six-course tasing menu.

“From the moment they arrive at the restaurant, they are provided with clues and case files along with props and story-driven elements to help them solve the mystery. Our talented team are full trained to ensure the experience is brought to life.

“We’ve always believed in pushing the creative boundaries, and this new creative pillar of immersion adds something missing from the dining scene. It’s not just about food; it’s about giving our guests an experience for them to step into.

With this new direction, the Six by Nico creative team have stretched themselves into new territories, encompassing gaming and narrative design with this initial experience setting the stage for future themes that seek to captivate and surprise guests.”

Could you be the one who solves the mystery of the murder of Chef Gustave?
