Edinburgh, recently recognised as the UK’s second most coffee-curious city and Scotland’s leading destination for cafe culture, has today welcomed Nespresso’s only experiential concept boutique in the capital.

The new boutique, located on Level 3 of the vibrant St James Quarter, heralds a fresh era of coffee innovation and immersive experiences for locals and visitors alike.

The boutique takes inspiration from Nespresso’s global vision for redefining coffee retail, offering far more than just beans and machines. Coffee lovers can now explore:

  • A dedicated ‘Coffee as an Art’ bar, hosting tastings and live masterclasses to uncover the craft behind the cup.
  • personalisation area for those who wish to customise select Nespresso products.
  • Access to the full range of Nespresso machines, coffees, and signature accessories, catering for every taste and home barista need.
  • recycling station to support Nespresso’s ongoing sustainability mission, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to circularity and ethical sourcing.

A Vibrant Addition to St James Quarter

Joining a curated mix of premium brands and global food outlets – including recently added Black Sheep Coffee and Pret A Manger – the new boutique cements St James Quarter’s reputation as a luxurious destination in the heart of Edinburgh.

As the city continues to be a haven for coffee aficionados – boasting one of the highest densities of coffee shops and roasteries per capita in the UK – Nespresso’s arrival is a natural progression in Edinburgh’s ever-expanding espresso scene.

Nespresso’s Vision for Coffee Culture

Anna Lundstrom, CEO of Nespresso UK & Ireland, celebrated the launch, stating: “At Nespresso, we aim to create boutique spaces that bring to life our commitment to innovation, memorable coffee experiences, and the craft of coffee.

“The new St James Quarter boutique is the perfect place to bring these values to life. Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, we hope it serves as an inviting space for coffee lovers to connect with our brand.”

With its blend of artistry, sustainability initiatives, and unmatched coffee expertise, Nespresso’s newest boutique is poised to become an essential stop for coffee lovers in a city already renowned for its caffeine devotion.
