The Glasgow Coffee Festival, Scotland’s largest celebration of specialty coffee, is set to return on 26 and 27 April 2025 at the historic Briggait in Glasgow.

Organised by Dear Green Coffee Roasters, this much-anticipated event promises a weekend filled with tastings, workshops, talks, and an array of interactive experiences for coffee enthusiasts.

What to Expect

The festival is a hub for coffee lovers, bringing together local roasters, artisanal vendors, and industry experts. Attendees can look forward to:

  • Cuppings and Tastings: Sample a wide variety of specialty coffees from Scotland’s finest producers.
  • Workshops and Demonstrations: Learn brewing techniques, explore sustainable coffee practices, and dive into the art of roasting.
  • Competitions: Highlights include the SCA UK Cup Tasters Competition and the Roast Hero challenge.
  • Talks and Panels: Discussions will focus on ethical sourcing, sustainability in coffee production, and the future of the industry.

Whether you’re a seasoned barista or simply a coffee enthusiast, there’s something for everyone.

The Glasgow Coffee Festival is renowned as one of the world’s most sustainable coffee events. Since 2018, it has been a single-use cup-free event, preventing thousands of disposable cups from ending up in landfills. The festival also partners with organisations like 1% for the Planet to support environmental initiatives.

Founder Lisa Lawson emphasises that sustainability is at the heart of the festival’s mission, aiming to inspire attendees to make mindful choices about their coffee consumption.

The Briggait, a beautiful 19th-century market hall in Glasgow’s city centre, provides the perfect backdrop for this vibrant event. Its spacious layout allows for an immersive experience where attendees can explore stalls, engage with exhibitors, and enjoy Glasgow’s lively culture.

Tickets start at £16 per session and include access to all tastings, workshops, and events. With last year’s festival selling out quickly, early booking is highly recommended. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, with sustainable travel options encouraged to minimise environmental impact.

The Glasgow Coffee Festival isn’t just about enjoying great coffee—it’s about celebrating community, craftsmanship, and sustainability. It offers a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals while supporting Scotland’s growing specialty coffee scene.

Mark your calendars for this caffeine-filled weekend at The Briggait—Scotland’s biggest coffee party awaits!
