One of Prestwick’s best-loved restaurant and café bars is set to receive a face-lift ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Lido, which is located on the town’s Main Street, will undergo a partial refurbishment next week – just before bookings ramp up for the festive season.

Among the exciting new design features includes a total restyling of the venue to bring it in line with its sister restaurant Lido Troon, as well as the installation of new windows throughout the premises.

The venue, which is operated by leading hospitality group Buzzworks, will close Monday November 18 until Thursday November 21 to allow for work to take place, with bookings set to re-open on Friday November 22, 2024.

Leith Andrews, who is leading up the exciting transformation at Lido Prestwick, said: “We have lots of exciting plans for Lido Prestwick, including introducing a brand-new ‘To Go’ takeaway offering which will allow people to order their favourite dishes online before popping into the venue to collect them.

“But guests need not worry, as we’ll still be offering our much-loved all-day Mediterranean vibe, delicious dishes and, of course, a warm welcome from our friendly team. Some things are just too good to change!”
